Poverty Simulation – held at CCD 29th April 2025

If you are interested in revisiting some of the key messages from the evening, you can watch our host in action here: https://youtu.be/4gAP3z4g57w

As was shared on the evening, we do want to encourage people to continue to discuss how we can put what we heard into action.

During the simulation, the host mentioned a couple of Micro-Finance Organisations that people can make donations/loans to that are then lent to individuals in order to help them rise above the grinding, never-ending levels of poverty that we experienced during the Simulation.

Several people expressed an interest in learning more about these Micro-Finance Organisations and we are pleased to provide the following links to their individual websites.

 KIVA – https://www.kiva.org/about

Kiva uses crowdfunded microloans as a force for good, creating a space where people can have one-to-one impact, and together, expand financial access for all.

 HOPE INTERNATIONAL – https://www.hopeinternational.org/

Mission: To invest in the dreams of families in the world’s under-served communities as we proclaim and live the Gospel.

Both are organisations that will use any contributions well with targeted loans to those living in and striving to overcome great poverty.
